I had a passion for politics and needed to be at a meeting in DC. My boss vetoed that trip. He asked if it was worth my investment advisory job over. I said no. He said okay. I said I really need to go. He said, so you quit? I said, I guess I quit.
2 weeks later I sold my Porsche, rented out my condo, and moved in with my mom.
3 years later I have the corner office on the 15th floor overlooking the new Braves stadium.
In that time, I married the woman of my dreams, obviously moved out, and made mom proud. Looks like my 10 seconds of insane courage turned out okay.
